DigiTech GNX4 Guitar Workstation
The DigiTech GNX4 features a wide range of effects. I created my own set of effects by mixing and tweaking presets. It also comes with a built-in eight channel recorder and a drum machine that includes a vast library of kits and patterns.
I just have two issues with the GNX4: (1) The guitar cable input should be placed to the right, not in the rear area. Many times when I play the cable gets underneath the whammy pedal. (2) In preset mode, you get a short but noticeable pause when you press a pedal to jump from one preset to the other. In regular pedal mode, you don't get the same problem but your effect options are limited.
Crate GLX 212 Amplifier
I wanted a powerful, mid-sized amp for my garage. After testing numerous amplifiers at my local guitar store, the Crate GLX 212 had the best and deepest sound.
Line 6 Spider III Amplifier
Many viewers ask me how I get such a powerful guitar tone on my YouTube videos. I use a Line 6 Spider III - no kidding! - for my home recordings. This is one of greatest "bedroom" amps I've ever played. Of course, this particular model is not suitable for professional recording or live performances, but it works really well in a room with a computer camera.
It's hard to believe how a 15-watt speaker can produce such an incredible sound. I use the built-in "Insane" distortion mode on my videos. Whether you need a small bedroom amp like the Spider III or a big combo for live performances, I highly recommend the Line 6 brand.
